Choosing a Contractor
When choosing a contractor, there are some questions you should
ask to be sure the contractor is legitimate and also covered
for the unexpected:
- Ask the contractor how long they have been in business and what their experience is. We have over 18 years of experience in contruction, more than 8 years of it in decks alone.
- Ask if the contractor guarantees their work. As a member of the Better Business Bureau we are committed to our customers' satisfaction.
- Ask the contractor if they have insurance. This is important for coverage of accidents and other unexpected events.
- Find out if your state requires contractors to have a license, then ask the contractor if they have a license.
- Call all references provided by the contractor, and ask them if they were satisfied with the contractor's work. Ask if they had any issues when working with the contrator, and if so, if these were resolved to their satisfaction. Ask the references if they would recommend this company to a friend.
- Ask the contractor if they can show you other projects they have completed that you can review. The contractor may have a website where you can get an overview of their projects.
